I find this interesting since,

I do not happen to desire this, I would never want to live forever,
it's utter nonsense. Vampirism. A fantasy for the egotistical.

The natural order to life in the universe is

"all that lives is born to die"...there is beauty in death,

Why hang on to a fantasy about eternal life when we live much longer than the average life expectency was in biblical days.

(Be careful how you interpret this)
Yes, the desire to live forever is within all of creation. Life will perpetuate itself forever.
We are children of life and we inherit this desire.

-----death is one of the ways life perpetuates
itself. Consider the cells of the body. Each
cell dies and is replaced. This ensures the survival of the body as a whole.

You might say that now, but then again, this life is the only one you've ever known, and death has been a part of human existence for so long we consider it natural. Why would God create man so that he would perish and be forever gone? Life is enjoyable. Just think of what you could do with eternal life that you can't do now because of death always creeping up behind you, waiting to strike.

He didn't seem to have put this desire in my heart, I can't think of anything more hellish than living forever. I'm not saying i don't want to live a good long life but I'm thinking 85yrs would be a pretty good innings on this planet and a bit more would be a bonus depending on ones health.

Whoever or whatever put the desire to live in men's hearts, also put it in every living thing on this earth. Without the desire to live. or the fear of death, living things would make no effort to protect itself. Life would end. If each living thing would make no effort to survive, the earth would be nothing but dirt and stone.

No, man came up with god in hopes of somehow living forever. What they do not realize is that everyone is immortal. I will live on through my children, and those people's lives i have touched during my time here. I guess i do not understand why that is not enough.
