They were chosen, not because they were the most populous and neither because they were special.
Deuteronomy 7:7-11: “It was not because of your being the most populous of all the peoples that Jehovah showed affection for you so that he chose you, for you were the least of all the peoples. But it was because of Jehovah’s loving you, and because of his keeping the sworn statement that he had sworn to your forefathers, that Jehovah brought you out with a strong hand, that he might redeem you from the house of slaves, from the hand of Pharaoh the king of Egypt . . .”
Acts 10:34, 35 reports that “God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.” Now if God held one group of people as special over all others, God WOULD be partial, wouldn’t he?
It should also be remembered what is said at Genesis 22:16-18: “And by means of (Abraham’s) seed all nations of the earth will certainly bless themselves due to the fact that you have listened to my voice.”
All along, God intended to bless all peoples and have them become his. Not just Israel.

Chosen by God does not normally mean to be the favorite. Israel was chosen for a purpose. There were countries before Israel that have could been chosen and that was evidently found in the archives of many lost civilizations that flourished in the world. Their achievements have been recorded but maybe they just did not use the word that they too were chosen at that time. In fact, some glorious achievement of the past civilizations could still be found standing today more what the people of Israel have done. Will you not agree with me if I will tell you that America may have been chosen in this generation to be the center of all kinds of all freedom loving people? And some do not just see that opportunity.
Israel was chosen primarily for the purpose of promoting a belief in a single God. Before them was a polytheistic belief in various form of superhuman who rule each element of life on earth such as the sun, the moon, the ocean, the earth, the forest, the fire, the wind, the volcano and other parts of nature. There were also lives controlled by the influence of the stars, animals and the planets for which their God exists.
Now, Israel may still be the chosen but at the same time may also be His disappointing choice and He just could not let them away until the appointed time...www.thename.ph

Still his chosen people? Yes. We are currently in what is known as "the time of the gentiles" at the moment. He is dealing with the rest of the world currently and saving "gentiles" (non jews) until the number He has chosen is fulfilled. Once that quota is reached the 70th week of Daniel will begin and He will deal with Israel once more where He left off so long ago. Once that begins, you will shortly see the end of the world as we know it. It will be a 7 year period known as the great tribulation.
Why Israel? Because it was their ancestor who was faithful. When all men turned from the Lord they were the nation that had someone faithful to Him still. He promised that He wouldn't leave them and claimed them as His own. It was one of the covenants He made in the early bible books.

That is a very interesting question. One that I have pondered since I was 8 years old. I am now 65. The answer is quite lengthy and a bit complicated so I will give you the short version.
God selected Isreal to be his chosen people because of Father Abraham's great faith. If Abraham had not such marvelous faith in God OR IF ABRAHAM's FAITH HAD BEEN MISPLACED AND UNDUE the results would have been far different

God started everything that led to Israel through a gentile man named Abram, who became Abraham, because he sought the true God. Abraham believed and trusted God, and because of that faith, became the father of the faithful. Israel is still the chosen people of God. Have been, and always will be. Here is something else for you to consider, by adoption, as laid out in the very beginnings of the nation of Israel, all Christians are in fact, Jews, or members of the nation of Israel in the sight of God.

He chose the Hebrews because Abraham was meek, humble and unlearned -- therefore he was open to receive all that God wanted to say to him. In Abraham, God found a heart and a mind that were open. "He chose the weak to shame the wise" (1 Cor. 1:27).
Yes....the Jews are still God's chosen people: "Theirs IS the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises". (Romans 9:4)

God made a promise to Abraham, and He keeps His promises. God became angry with Israel, but the bible states that He will forgive them. Everyone is included in the kingdom of heaven, but because of that promise, they're still His chosen.

Yes. God is unchanging and when he makes a promise he never goes back on it. God chose the children of Israel way back when he chose Abraham. Why? Because he was the only one who didn't practice polytheism around him. The real question should be, what did he chose them FOR? And I will tell you, to maintain the truth about and the worship of the ONE TRUE GOD. There is none else.

Sorry, that's no longer the way it works. because of the fact the guy who's answering your question, i will % what number words and besides the fact that format i %. In any experience, your finished question makes no sense based on your rather viewpoint. Why? nicely, you suggested : "this is been under profession for over 60 years." Translation into undeniable English: You view the excellent Israel as illegitimate (because it rather is has been around for sixty one years) and an "profession". That being the case, then why the rather concentration on who Jerusalem (a single city) belongs to. it rather is an exceedingly surprising way of mentioning the subject. Now, for a number of the misconceptions on your question: - there is not any such self reliant u . s . observed as Palestine. There was once a colony observed as that besides the fact that if it ceased to exist in 1948. That being the case, asking if this is going to be the capital of a non existent state would not rather make lots sense. maximum persons, while addressing the subject, say issues at the same time with "Palestinians like it to be the capital of a destiny Palestinian state". That, BTW, is a lot greater trustworthy, besides the fact that if i in my opinion disagree with such an effect assuming it gets to that state. - Doing a typical physique count quantity makes no sense. It proves no longer something. in case you have been to try this, i might additionally ask for: Breakdown of civilians killed vs. militants Breakdown of civilians intentionally centred vs. people who have been killed in the direction of focused on a valid militia objective Breakdown with the help of 12 months - you're making the argument that the land is holy. As a non secular Jew, I consider you on that factor. besides the fact that if, the Zionist argument isn't in keeping with non secular arguments. And for the checklist, the non secular argument replace into never that Moses gave any land to absolutely everyone. It replace into that G-d gave the land to the Jewish people which, BTW, isn't blasphemous. This, BTW, i anticipate is with the help of lack of understanding on your area that being the case, I pretty recommend that the subsequent time you sense like asserting issues like ", some people lower back up Israel because of the fact they're the two ignorant" make advantageous that your place itself isn't in keeping with lack of understanding first. Oh, and for the checklist, as a "Muslim believing in Moses" this isn't any longer your place to be sure what or what would not characterize "blasphemy" from a Jewish non secular viewpoint.
