is it a good Idea to put solar panels on my house in nigeria? How would I go about doing that?

Nigeria gets lots of sun, so it sounds like a good idea.

Its a bad idea. Considering the corruption in that country the panels are unlikely to get built and the funds will simply vanish. But if the panels do get built, they will be stolen and held for ransom, within a week.

i agree, for electric generation it would cause more harm than good. however there is another type of solar panel, used to heat water, and that is a freebie way to get hot water for cleaning and showers. If you already have a hotwater heater, use the panel to temper or pre-heat the water going to it, either way you save.
