Give her unflavored pedialyte.... the dye from the flavors may upset her stomach...
Has she had a fever? And did she vomit first and then get diarrhea?
If it is not better within 24 hours, take her to the doctor.. she will probally get a stool sample... there is alot of rotavirus going around and other things... better safe than sorry....
Good luck! Hope she feels better soon!
Make sure you wash your hands good after every diaper change also, and disinfect everything to be certain!

It's possible she picked up a virus - there's a bunch going around.
Stay away from milk and juice - the milk isn't easily digested and juice makes diarrhea worse. Give some pedialyte or gatorade mixed with water. Small amounts frequently - like a teaspoonful or eyedropperful every ten minutes. Ice pops, sherbet, and regular Jello (set, not liquid, that's too sugary and rough) also count!
As for food, anything starchy - like the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. Pretzels, crackers, noodles, mashed potatoes, or plain bread will also work.
Don't give things like Immodium or Pepto - if this is a virus, these will make it last longer and they've been known to give BAD tummy cramps.
If your child isn't keeping down the small amounts of fluids or stops urinating, she needs to see the doctor ASAP. Otherwise, this should run its' course in a couple of days.

Pedialyte is probably best.
Usually plain foods are good--plain rice, bread/toast, bananas, rice ceral (Cream of Wheat or Rice), crackers, etc.
Not that this necessarily applies to your case, but a former coworker of mine's younger sister developed Celiac disease. The sister had an upset stomach and foods that normally should be okay, ie bread, made things worse. So that's something to keep in mind if it appears she can't keep things like bread down either.

Try less milk and water. Could be viral. Something starchy like rice or potato, if she can hold it down, may help some. Pedialite popsicles (like gatorade) will help prevent dehydration from the diarrhea. Banana could help too.
If it lasts longer than 24-48 hours, she needs to be seen by a dr. or you risk dehydration and need for IV fluids.

It sounds like she does have a stomach virus. How about buying her some pedialyte at the pharmacy. It has alot of electorlytes and nutrients she needs so she doesn't dehydrate.

Pedialyte, if she'll drink it (my daughter refused it) and/or clear liquids, but not apple juice. That will make it worse. But having diarrhea means she is dehydrated so keep trying to get her to drink something. If it keeps up, go see the doctor.

Go with the pedialyte, but use the one that doesn't have red food coloring. That would always set my kids off. Also coke syrup over ice may help.

Give her pedilyte and yogurt. The yogurt will help if she develops a diaper rash. My son use to keep diarrhea when he was younger, and the Dr always said to give yogurt.
