FOGO DE CHAO

This is not your traditional restaurant where you order a nice steak and side of potatoes from a menu. This is more fun than that. At Fogo De Chao, "Gauchos," who have been trained in "churrasco," the Southern Brazilian tradition of preparing and serving meat, slice 15 different types of beef, pork, lamb and chicken onto your plate. For $48.50 for dinner, $29.50 for lunch, guests get all of the rump steak, sirloin, lamb chop and whatever else they can eat, along with sides of cheese bread, seasoned mashed potatoes, rice, black beans, polenta and fried bananas. A green coaster next to your plate signifies to the Gaucho to pile on the meat, but if you start bursting from your pants, simply flip the coaster, and red will mean "stop." Vegetarians need not stay away – Fogo has an extensive salad bar, as well. Those who opt for the salad bar only pay $20 per person. And no matter who you are, save an inch of room for flan or cheesecake for dessert.

It's expensive, but worth it!!!!!!

No for safety reasons they really don't have all you can eat places in downtown Chicago. If you want all you can eat hit up Old Country Buffet, but be selective some locations are not that great.

Slightly north of the Magnificent Mile is a great restaurant called Joey's Brickhouse. They have all you can eat and drink specials twice a week. The food is generally very good, and is a great place to go with a large group. All you can eat nights are Tuesdays and Saturday mornings. See the attached link.

The Flat Top Grill is sort of a buffet. It is asian food, you go up get all your noodles/rice, vegies, meat and sauces then they cook it for you, you can go up as many times as you want. I don't know if there is actually one downtown but there is one in the west loop, lakeview and old town. It is pretty cheap and really good!
