Or did they respond to the message of Christ differently? Remember atheists many of you claim Hitler to have been a devout Christian. No one denies the Christianity of Mother Teresa.

My opinion is that Hitler didn't respond to the Gospel message at all.

Isn't this a perfect example that an objective morality exists.

Sentinel makes the best point here. It's in the fruits. Chdoctor actually got the question, bonus points for him.

Ah my little friend Acid-Zebra. Maybe he should do some studies on the Holocaust and read about the MILLION Christians who died in the concentration camps. That's where the real Christians of German society went.

And whenever an Atheist says that Hitler was "RAISED" Catholic, so some of their ideas just HAD to have rubbed off on him, I always ask them if they were RAISED in the church and how their opinions reflect that now....

Hitler wasn't a Christian. He was a pragmatist and a social Darwinist. As a pragmatist he selectively quoted from the Bible or Martin Luther if the quotes (usually way out of context) justified his end game. As a social Darwinist, like Darwin Hitler believed in the survival of the fittest and that this extended to the races among human beings. Darwin and Hitler believed in the superiority of the white race over the black race, for example. Anyway, anyone who claims Hitler was a devout Christian doesn't know enough about Christianity, Hitler, or both. Thanks for asking.

I lived in Germany for four years and something that is not taught in liberal controlled public American schools is that many, many Germans did not want Hitler to lead them, He forced his way in because many of them were so passive on their morals.

Soo...Cultural? Not even close, Hitler used the ploy that he was christian to gain the confidence of the Germans. Should we judge the Christian faith according to people like Hitler?

actually, I have always claimed that Hitler was RAISED catholic. He might have used religion for his own purposes and he was certainly a nutter. (but ask yourself, since christianity was the majority religion of Germany at the time, where did the Nazis come from?)

And Mother Theresa is not without controversy:

Just because a pope thought she was a saint doesn't mean I automatically do.

No, many of the differences were biological.

Even if someones actions suggest what we might intuitively call "moral" does not mean there is an objective morality. If those actions are done because of some dogma and not out of self developed principle and care, the morality is actually quite low.

a little secret about mother teresa, she starved the poor people that didnt convert to christianity. If they didnt convert, she didnt give them food. thats what i call bribery.

As for hitler, he responded to the Gospel in his own way, some bible passages state that slavery, racism and bigotry is ok, but many christians love to use the taking it out of context line to hide the truth that the bible is not as holy as it claims to be.

What are you talking about? The attempted Genocide of the Jews was a direct continuation of European anti-Semiticism which was driven entirely by Christianity and their hatred of the Jews for having rejected and murdered Christ.

Mother Teresa is God's selfless servant who followed Jesus Christ as her leader and did His will while she lived on the earth.

Hitler was a self absorbed mad leader who's pride overcame him. He did not follow the teachings of Christ who said for us to love God with all of our heart, soul and mind and love others as ourselves.

Many will say, "Lord haven't I done many works in your name." And Jesus will say, " Depart from me, you cursed, I never knew you." Hitler was not a Christian. Mother Teresa is.
