My mom, older sister and I are so far not sick.. knock on wood... but theres something strange going on with my seven year old sister...

she has the stomach flu, shes been coughing, has a fever of 100ish... and now, her left eye is redish and underneath both eyes its red and puffy, it looks as though there are little bumps, like a mosquito bite but its not.. we know that for a fact. she says she itched it earlier and she was crying earlier but that was hours ago... anyone have any idea what it might be.. its not a stye in the eye... it might be pink eye, but why are there puffs? like where old people have bags... but she's seven as is too young to have bags.

Time to go to the doctor.

Every single one of you need to get to the doctor now. You have no way of knowing what KIND of bug you have unless you have your stool examined. You could have a very nasty highly contageous bug that can only be killed with specific antibiotics. Go to the Center for Disease Control website and read about "stomach flu"

When you get to the doctor, Miss 7 Year Old goes first! There are lots of different kinds of eye infections and she needs to be seen by a doctor right away. It will not get better on its own and only a doctor can determine if she has an infection or not.
If she can tolerate Tylenol she needs to take it to get her temperature back to normal. If you have kids Benadryl then give her a dose of that and see if her eyes are any better within about an hour, it won't hurt her at all and it might keep her from vomiting for a while, too. She needs to keep her hands off of her eyes and make sure she is washing her hands before and after she uses the toilet.

Wash you hands all the time, do not share towels, put paper towels in the bathrooms so nobody shares hand towels, strip the beds of the sick people and wash sheets in HOT hot water. Get some Lysol wipes or Clorox (non-bleach) wipes and wipe down everything from the handle of the fridge to the TV's remote control. The bathrooms need to be cleaned a couple times a day since the people with the illness have been in there often.

Get products that KILL bacteria and will also kill the flu virus, and rotovirus...like Lysol wipes and Lysol toilet cleaner. Gather up all the bath towels and wash them in hot water, too.

Good god your mother hands her hands full, doesn't she? I'd take your dad, sister and little brother to a walk in clinic. The walk in clinics take insurance and they'll be in & out in half an hour! Hope everyone gets well soon and you stay healthy!!

Your whole family needs to go to the doctor and be checked out. If it is the flu, you need to see the doctor, all of you, the flu can be deadly as we all are aware of the recent deaths of young kids dying from the flu.
Your sister could be allergic to some kind of medication if she is taking any, but the best and fasted thing your family should do is GO TO THE DOCTOR.
Hope that your whole family gets well and your little sister hope she will be okay and get help.

does your sister take any kind of medicines? It could be an allergic reaction to a medicine, if she is taking one. I would STRONLY advise that you take your sister to a doctor RIGHT A WAY. It could be anything like some kind of new cleaner, soap, anything usable or an illness that i cannot diagzose. Think real carefully if some kind of new product anything has been added to your household. This would help a doctor out tremendously.

My guess is she is allergic to something she has been given. Better get her checked out at the doctor and I'd suggest you stop giving her whatever medicine she has been taking. I am allergic to codeine and my eyes and face get puffy . It could go further and cause her throat to swell so you should have her checked out ASAP.
