Depends on your hair length and where you live. When you see someone with pretty hair, tell them you like their hair and ask who did it. That way you know yours will look good too. I will say $85 - $100.

Lets rephrase that question. "How much would it cost to get highlights by a decent stylist?" Afterall, the stylist has absolutely 'nothing' to do with the salon. They simply choose to work somewhere because its what they like. Maybe they get the hours they like, or the other stylists are nicer, or the money is better, but never because the salon is not as good because you don't have to spend tons of money. A good stylist can be found anywhere, anytime. Heck, I am not working right now, and I volunteer my time here and always get thanked for my help. I don't do it for the points, but because I 'love' the knowledge I have, and to help people out . Now, for your question about how much. That would depend on whether it was foils, or cap, or painted on, or whether it was full head foils, or partial or just a few. My advice would be to call around and ask. Start by asking friends whose hair you like where they get it done, and the name of stylist, and then make some calls and comparisons. Good luck !!!

Depending on the length of you hair, of course, and how heavy or light you want the highlights.....the price range should be between $45 and $70. My salon, which is very busy, offers highlights for the average of $55. This also includes styling. (Not bad for an hours worth of work). Other salons in our area charge $125-$165 for the same service. Why? I don't know. We all use the same products and have the same skills. I don't believe in price gouging and I will never charge more than I am willing to pay.
