buy two packs of mints and 2 chocolate bars and when you come out of the shop give her half. the chocolate bar will avoid any suspicion as to why your buying her mints, so it appears to be a friendly gesture

Like Lady Luck says, also
Could it be she doesn't floss or use mouthwash ? Tooth decay can give you awful breath, has she been for a dental check-up? Also, doing that meat only diet makes your breath smell, as can garlic. So can some gastric problems. Really there are so many causes, she could do with asking her Dr .
I don't know how you can tell her, just by hinting she may not get it. Depends how good friends you are, is there some guy you can blame? Like "so and so says he hates sitting next to you in class because you have Dragon breath"
Trouble is-if it really can't be helped, what's the girl to do??

M : )

I work in a retail store and occasionally someone walks in who really reeks! Can't say a word under those circumstances but if you have a friend, be a friend and say something like, "I don't want to offend you but has anyone ever mentioned to you that you have bad breath? I like you and all, but, as a friend you might not know about this because you are used to it and just don't realize it". If the person is a real friend, they will thank you and yes, there are medical reasons for the problem. I remember taking out this beautiful girl. We had a lot in common. The first time I decided to kiss her, I got a whiff! That was our last date!

Well things to try:

1. Direct - tell her that her breath is so bad it could knock a buzzard off a sh..it wagon.

2. Indirect - Say "What is that smell?!!" and see if she figures it out.

3. Offer he alot of mints. If she refuses, say - "really, you should"

4. Get someone else to tell her.

If she is a real friend, I will tell her in private and suggest visiting her doctor. Many times bad breath is a medical condition that got nothing to do with brushing, flossing your teeth.

Good luck

I just offer gum and take one myself so they won't feel awkward. I do not make a scene, but I do make the offer. Being sutle does help but some day there may be a more drastic need. !

If it's a recurring problem then tell her. Be nice about it. That's what a real friend would do. It's probably going to hurt her but what can you do, you know.

Pull out a piece of gum or a tic-tac and offer her some

It could be a treatable medical condition- If she is a good friend she'll understand you are telling her for her benifit.

Others might think the same and not have the nerve to tell her.
Just me honest and upfront as all good freind do..Well maybe not to up"front." ;-)

I don't think there is a way. I had the same problem once with a lady who felt the need to get right in your face when she talked. It's not pleasant is it?
