China located in 39°55′N 116°23′E
The word hemisphere is latin for "half sphere" or "half ball"; when used in the plural form, it refers to one-half of any sphere, divided at a great circle, a type of spherical cap.

Eastern Hemisphere, also Eastern hemisphere, is a term that can be used in a geopolitical sense as a synonym for 'Old World', intended to avoid the perceived Eurocentrism of that phrase. In this sense it usually means Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, in parallel to Western Hemisphere as a designation for the Americas.

The geographic terms eastern hemisphere and western hemisphere are not very common because they contradict each other to much there is no universally accepted nor practical line that unambiguously demarcates the two hemispheres, as opposed to the equator (equidistant from the Earth's poles) which divides the northern and southern hemispheres. The most common divider is the Prime Meridian, at 0° longitude. Using this demarcation puts portions of western Europe and Africa in the western hemisphere, diluting the usefulness for cartography as well as for political metaphor.

Had the International Date Line (or End Meridian) at 180° longitude been used as a dividing line, the meanings of the terms Eastern Hemisphere and Western Hemisphere would have been reversed. So, in a way, these terms are just as Eurocentric as the terms Old World and New World.

Though uncommon, another definition places the dividing lines at 20°W and 160°E, so as to more neatly divide the intended continents.

The world is divided in to 4 hemispheres. Firstly there is north and south. China is above the equator, so that makes it the Northern Hemisphere.

Then there is east and west. China is considered the far east, so that should give you a clue. The Western Hemisphere contains USA, South AMerica, UK, Europe, Africa. the rest is the Eastern hemisphere.

The world is divided into 2 hemisphere with the equator line as the middle line. China is in the Northern Hemisphere.

You can say that Australia or New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere.

If you want to know what country does the equator line passes (or is near to), try countries like Ecuador, Malaysia, Indonesia etc.

Although I am not from China, I still know my my geography. I have a feeling alot of the people that answered wrongly for the above question were westerners. I have heard many ridiculous comments about Eiffle tower in London and which part of Thailand is Singapore...lol.....

To answer your question, China is located in the east hemisphere, in east Asia, on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean and that is the link to knowing more about China. http://www3.nationalgeographic.com/places/countries/country_china.html?source=G1201
or

The later link will show you the two hemispheres in the world.
