Skin tags can grow. if it has a very skinny neck (where it comes out of your skin) and then is larger away from the base, it most likely is just this. If it is flush against your skin and growing asymmetrically, or if it has different color pigmentation then get it checked. You can remove them safely yourself if it is the first condition I described by (if large enough) tying a piece of thread tightly around the base during a weekend you aren't going out. Leave it there and eventually it will dry out and be easy to remove. Conversely, they have compounds sold at drug stores that dry the skin for just such an occasion. You cannot get cancer from removing a skin tag. Cancer is cancer. You cannot give yourself cancer by cutting yourself or removing it. If it grows back, then get it checked. I have used nail clippers as the previous poster mentioned too with no trouble. Luckily though I only had one and it was really small. If you want to have it done professionally, a dermatologist can freeze it off. Good luck.

Moles are active year round. They are most active in the spring and fall though. The primary food source of moles is worms (not grubs). You have three choices and getting rid of them: poisons, traps, or repellents. Juicy fruit, pickle juice, mothballs, human hair, glass etc do not work and are not sold as mole repellents for a reason...they have not statisticall datat for success. For poisons you can try Talprid, or Motomco products. For traps you can try a lot of options. The most successful is the easy step trap. For repellents you can try Repellex repellents in either liquid or granular form. The goal of getting rid of moles is getting the population of moles to go away either death or repellents and then keeping them away. Funny thing to consider: the healthier your lawn is, the more likely you will have a strong population of worms, and hence attract more moles. Getting rid of moles takes a long time to get the results you want in your yard. Some times a combination of things is what it takes to get success.

Well a doctor told my x to take finger nail clippers and cut them off. Doesn't sound like something I would want to do. I'm thinking abut trying to see if compound W will get rid of a small mole on my shoulder. Not sure if it will or not but I'll let ya know later if it does and you email me. tabby_tigger@yahoo.com

You do have to go to a doctor. I will admit something gross to you; I one time took off a skin tag with fingernail clippers but later I heard that I could have gotten a serious infection that way. The only safe hygenical way is to see a doctor.

ok, ok. calm down. the chances are it probably isn't growing. moles only grow in proportion to your bodys growth. so basically if your getting taller, the mole will get bigger but not by much. its not a tag and moles only occur from burth or from sun damage. i wouldnt worry some people even find moles attractive! if you are really worried, go to the doctors.

do NOT try and remove it without going to a doctor unless you want to be left with a permanent scar and potentially cause yourself some serious damage. don't you think it's worth investing in a doctor's consultation fee?

you don't remove it with out going to a doctor. You need to have them remove it especially with it being close to your eye AND growing.

I would not try to do it yourself, you could cause cancer. If you remove skin tags they grow back.
