Just make sure the cap is tight and store it upright, in a cabinet, away from sun light. It should last virtually forever but if you (and your family/friends) don't drink within the next year, why in the world do you want to save it? :-)

Whiskey does not need to be refrigerated.

Simply be sure the cap is secure, and store it in an airtight cabinet, preferably away from direct light and temperature fluctuation.

Liquor has a high enough alcohol content that it won't go bad (unlike table wines at 12%). Just keep the cap on it and everything will be fine.
