well often after being sick it takes awhile to get back to normal. The dizzyness if probably due to dehydration- when your sick you often don't get enough fluid in your body because of appetite loss and your body absorbs more than normal when sick to fight off the sickness. This should wear off soon but if not I'd suggest seeing a doctor and telling your parents. For the sleep loss, you can easily take a Nyquil, or another medicine that makes one drowsy and probably would also help with your other symptoms. - good luck!

ps. take some Gatorade it will replenish what is lost when one sweats and is great for dehydration. headaches are probably due to the dehydration, and the cold sweats probably because your body is trying to regulate it's temperature after a fever.

Have you been under any stress latley? Is something playing on your mind? Stress i have found in many instances when i have been feeling ill, was the cause of many of my ailments. The body reacts in this way to stress, it is the way it is trying to tell you to, take more time to chill out. Find someone to talk to if you are worried about something. Go to your doctor and explain your symptoms and ask for a blood test to count out any onderliying problems, like infections, anemia, etc. When any physical problem has been counted out, then thats the time to start evaluating your psychological well being. That doesnt mean that you are crazy, its just evaluation of how you cope and if there are any problems that need to be adressed. Outside of the Gastric Flue and the recovery period thereafter, i would say that not sleeping and headaches could be due to stress. Might i add that because you spend so much time wondering about it, you are already building up your stress levels. Start to do something about it, go to the doctor and explain how you feel. Taking steps to do something about it is the first step to recovery. Good luck and i hope you start to feel better soon.

I think it could be a really great reason to go and see your doctor . It is probably nothng to worry about but you may need some tests doing. Have you had a blood sugar level done and are you drinking enough water ? It may be a side effect from the gastric flu if this was fairly recently. See you doc xx

You didn't say how long it has been since the flu. Second, are you sure that you had the flu? There are a lot of things going around this year with the up and down temps. Seeing a doc would be good if for no other reason he knows what is affecting people in your area.

Even though you did not drink more than usual that night, its probably a good idea to stop drinking for a while. It could also be a change in diet or behavior that is causing your sickness. Or you could have just caught a bug that is hard to get rid of. I would suggest seeing a doctor soon though incase you need antibiotics or something.

Are you sure you are over it. It sounds like you have a fever. Try eating some toast and tea or drinking broth. Not eating could cause a headache and having a fever could cause it too. For sleeping ...maybe drinking some milk or cereal before you go to bed might help. Good luck

There are so many things it could be, but none that should be diagnosed without seeing a physician. How long ago was it that you had the flue? Have you had your blood sugar checked? Are you under a lot of stress? Have you tried taking a Tylenol PM to help you sleep? ( I would suggest starting with a half of one until you see how they affect you) - but please, see a doctor. And drinks lots of fluids - you could be dehydrated.

It can take quite a while to get over a bad cold or even the flu. Hope you feel better soon.

I just got over the same thing!!!
You are dehydrated. You might not think you are, but trust me, the whole dizzy sick thing, that's dehydration.
Eat 2 bananas (if your stomach allows you!), drink some orange juice, some real coca cola (NOT diet!), regular ginger ale, a sports drink if you can stand it.
It took me *3* days of pushing liquids before my urine looked normal again....and I had a fever for a week.
Good luck, been there, just getting over that!

Probably a virus. Prevent further dehydration by drinking plenty of fluids . If symptoms persists for much longer then go and see your GP.
