Being saved has to do with doing God's will "until the end" (Mt 10:22, Mt 24:13, Mr 13:13). And it has absolutely nothing to do with asking God "to come into [yo]ur life" or heart; it is entirely God's choice on who is called to salvation, not ours (John 6:44). God sends out invitations (Matthew 22:1-14) {the word 'called' can also be translated 'invite' in the NT}, it is only up to us whether or not we accept.

After we accept God's invitation (calling), our salvation is a collaborative effort; we must "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18).

John 17:3 -- And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Coming into a knowledge of God and Jesus is essential to Christian growth. But what does knowing God and Jesus entail?

1 John 2:4 -- He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

So, true knowledge of God means keeping his Commandments. But keeping God's Commandments is really only the first step.

Luke 17:7-10 -- And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'? But will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink'? Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not. So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.' "

Ephesians 2:10 -- For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

So, salvation is a matter of BOTH keeping the Commandments AND doing good works.

No. Those laws were for the Jews to follow.

All you have to do to be saved is "confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

There are several things that must be taken into account:
WORDS
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. -Matthew 12:37.
WORKS
And the dead were judged out of those things that were written in the books, according to their works. -Revelation 20:12.
EVIL OR GOOD
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. -John 3:19.
This is not the total of the scriptures, but you can be sure that these will form the main basis of the judgment.

We are saved by Faith in Jesus Christ.

All scriptures above that say this is correct. Scriptures don't lie.

Yet, don't be confused. Please. Jesus didn't give us Grace so we can sin!

Read.Romans 3:31
31 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

Romans 6:14-15
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Revelation 12:17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The Dragon is angry at those who have faith in Jesus & Keep God's Commandments.

Don't be confused please, We are not saved by works. Keeping God's Commandments shows him we love him.

2 John 6
6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

John 14:15-17
15 "If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you for ever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you.

Jesus did not come to destroy the law. Jesus said, "Think Not..
Matthews 5:17-19
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Saved by Faith in Jesus, the Law can never save anyone or make anyone perfect. Jesus came to do that. Serve God by Love and keep his commandments. Instead of Fear.

Use your Grace, Follow all of the commandments. Don't let anyone tell you its Gone or Done away with!

no, the 10 commandments are no longer in effect.

Ephesians 2:15 Through his body on the cross, Christ put an END to the LAW WITH ALL ITS COMMANDS AND RULES. He wanted to create one new group of people out of the two. He wanted to make peace between them.

Colossians 2:14 He wiped out the written Law with its rules. The Law was against us. It opposed us. He took it away and nailed it to the cross.

Galatians 2:16 ...No one can be made right with God by obeying the law.

Galatians 2:21 ...What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing!

Galatians 5:4 Some of you are trying to be made right with God by obeying the law. You have been separated from Christ. You have fallen away from God’s grace... The ONLY verse that talks about falling from grace, and they did it by trying to follow the law!

Jesus said he didn’t come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. (Matt 5:17) The effect was the same. Once fulfilled it was no longer in effect. The very next verse, Matthew 5:18, looks forward to the time when the law would be set aside. "...Not even the smallest stroke of a pen will disappear from the Law UNTIL EVERYTHING IS COMPLETED." IF the law were intended to be permanent, the "UNTIL..." clause would be meaningless.

On the cross, Jesus' last recorded saying, "It is finished," is an important milestone. Because of Jesus life, Satan had been defeated. The law was finished and would no longer stand between God and mankind.

The 10 commandments along with the rest of the law ("commands and rules" from Ephesians 2:15) were "set aside" when they were fulfilled or completed at Jesus' resurrection. We are no longer bound by that law.

In the "sermon on the mount," Jesus tells us some about the question: Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven. Only those who do what my Father in heaven wants will enter.
22 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord! Lord! Didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we drive out demons in your name? Didn’t we do many miracles in your name?’ 23 Then I will tell them clearly, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who do evil!’

Clearly, then, it is NOT belief alone.

The question was asked of Peter and the rest of the apostles on Pentecost after Peter's first Gospel sermon. Here are question and answer:

Acts 2:37 When the people heard this, their hearts were filled with shame. They said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”
38 Peter replied, “All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children. It is also for all who are far away. It is for all whom the Lord our God will choose.”
40 Peter said many other things to warn them. He begged them, “Save yourselves from these evil people.” 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized. About 3,000 people joined the believers that day.

No. Jesus fulfilled the law covenant and it is longer enforce. The principles are and we are guided by them as Christians.
To be saved, requires accurate knowledge of the bible, accepting Jehovah as your God, his son Jesus as your ransomer and then you dedicate you life to Jehovah in prayer and demonstrate that dedication threw water baptism.
That is just the begining of a life long work ahead of you.

Don't believe the people that say the law has been set aside.

On the contrary Jesus died to FULFILL the LAW!!! The law was and is the utmost to G*D! So much that Christ DIED FOR THE LAW!

Now we are under GRACE, because of Jesus death! This is how much G*d loved the law. And he said, "if you LOVE me you KEEP MY COMMANMENTS"!!! (Emphasis mine throughout).

So more than ever we should obey, not to be saved, but because we LOVE G*D!!! It is FAITH in Christ that brings us salvation.

The Law only showed us our sins and was never meant to SAVE. Only faith in Christ save us. No one can keep the law, pointing out more than ever how we need CHRIST!

BUT, we keep the law because we LOVE G*d.

No. You cannot buy your way into heaven with tithes, keeping of traditions or rules, rituals, singing in the choir or good deeds.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.

2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began
________________________

There is only one way to heaven and that is through the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

John 10:9
Jesus said, "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by [Jesus'] blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
________________________

The good news is, the gift of salvation is just that--a gift--it is free. If you try to buy the gift, you will never be able to afford it, so all you need to do is accept it and say, "thank you."

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.
