Looking to buy camera over internet. 1500 - 2000$ budget.
Looking to go into film school eventually to end up a free lance cinematographer. I plan to build a portfolio of short wildlife films to present in order to have some of my school paid for.
I need to know what would be a good buy for filming out doors, and something that I could get close clear images of animals that may be a ways off / sound quality / interesting features
Also, I will need to edit myself so editing program?? And a camera that goes straight to my computer??
Thank you

I take it you need a VIDEO camera. you will have to be a wise shopper to get what you need for the budget. Video cameras now are digital, DV so that will get you execellent results. Most have good telephoto range, more than you can hold steady! If you can purchase with credit card in US funds then many businesses can help. B&H photo has an excellent reputation and selection of semipro gear that you could afford. Check out one other thing. Many governments prohibit the importation of video cameras or require you get a special license, if that is the case then ordering by internet will not work as it will still have to be shipped to you.
