For the first time in my life, and I have seen 10 presidents come and go, I am truly ashamed of this administration. I still however, have faith in my country that we will pull out of this.

My son was having a little rant the other day and this is what I said to him: You can't tar everyone with the same brush, my boy, there are a lot of good-natured, honest, hard-working, ethical and responsible Americans.......... It's just a shame that none of them are in the White House.

As a Brit, I have to admit that I voted for Tony Blair, and I am not impressed by the decision to go to war, never mind the pathetic excuses made for it. We went there for the oil, it's as simple as that. In a world where most oil producing nations are facing a dwindling oil supply, Iraq still has some of the largest reserves available to whomever can develop them.

As Iraqi's understand the real reasons for an invading force in their land, namely to exploit this oil, their resistance fighters, or 'insurgents' , do all they can to prevent American oil companies from progressing, and sabotage their efforts.
This is your 'war on terror'. I wonder what the Nazi's called the French Resistance?

As for Americans being ashamed, why should they be? Half of them didn't vote for Bush. (Actually, I suspect it was more than half. Environmentalist Al was considered unfriendly for business, and business has the most power).

why should they be ashamed of their leader like all democratic countries they voted whether you like it or not the leader was democratically voted under the rules. he has every right to rule, if people don't like that they will register that at the next election. this is how we do things in the west rightly or wrongly, its how we live its how we elect governments. its worked for a long time, the American presidents only crime was being in charge when 9/11 happened. what did people expect him to do ignore it i don't think so and no I'm not American but i do respect their right to vote in and have opinions about their government and how their country's run

I am ashamed that we are led by a despot who is the "commander" and does whatever he wants. The senate has no power anyway, Bush vetos anything he wants.
And he wants to go to war... we will be at war...

He so deserves to be ripped of his powers along with dick and rumsfeld who have facilitated the 9/11 attacks.

Why should I be ashamed of something that Bush himself should be ashamed of?? One might as well hold me responsible for all the worlds ills if this was caused by another.

He thinks the world is his candy jar. That includes the US social services. I am not sure 'ashamed' is quite the right word.
