Is it an assault on Buddhists , Muslims, atheists, or anybody? After all these people are in fact human so I still care about them. Is it a violation of anyone's rights or is it a recognition of their inherent human value?

David,
It should not offend anyone else. There are a number of the other religious people who feel the same way. They should not be angered by it as long as you are truthful about it. I hope that is the way that you feel. Have a great evening.
Eds, Christian also.

Well, you are sort of hinting that because the other groups you mentioned don't follow Christ they don't care about humanity.

Astonishingly, many people of all those other faiths you mentioned do indeed put a high value on humanity. Following your Christ is purely optional.

Christians love all humanity because Christ is, in some fashion, in all humanity.

The Gospel of God's love for man, the Gospel of the dignity of the human person, and the Gospel of life is a single Gospel.

Do you feel that one must follow Christ in order to love all of humanity?

Do you love humanity ONLY because you follow Christ?

I dont think so. I wouldn t take it as an assault if a Buddhist
told me they love all humanity cause they follow Buddha.

The only question of concern is do you really love them, and if you do what you mean by that? If it is true that you really love all of humanity then you have every right to say it, if it is a lie you should not say it.

Christ was all about humanity. He gave them a chance for eternal life.
But, it sounds, more like, as if you want us to accept the ideals of man.

It wouldn't be wrong for you to tell people that you love them. What would be wrong is if you told them you followed Christ. You could say I love you because I follow the pope maybe.

No it is not wrong. Just don't expect to get a slap on the back for it. Your real expectation ought to be a kick in the teeth.
Jesus promised this wouldn't be easy!

any form of unsolicited thrust of your views on others is violation of rights. the christians start their preachings even with non christian children without the approval of their parents which s also stark viloation of human values. so any unsolicited advise in any form is a violence.
