On most boxes or products purchased at the grocery store, in the list for things like calories and fiber and sugars and carbohydrates, they many times list "OTHER" carbohydrates. Does anyone know what those " other " carbohydrates are.?
This would be really interesting if these "other" carbo's are the same ones found in the list for the "first list" of carbohydrates.
It seems a little sneaky that there should be two listings for carbo's.
Can anyone answer this little delima. We should all know what "all" carbo's are, and they should be listed seperately with proper names just like everything else.

What do you say out there.?

Carbohydrates are starches, sugars and fiber. On your package label, the line "total carbohydrates" in grams, is equal to the sum of the number of grams of sugar, plus fiber , plus "other" carbohydrates (by default, these are starch).
There is no double listing.

Sugar and fiber specifics have recently been listed separately to aid people who follow special diets by "counting carbs."

Hope this helps.
