It will take at least 2 hours. Turn the heat up to 375. Figure at least 25 minutes per pound. It takes longer when the chicken is stuffed.

I usually salt, pepper and butter the outside of the chicken. I have also used garlic cooking oil on the outside. For the inside I do a 1/2 lemon, garlic cloves, onion (cut in 1/2), rosemary and thyme. I also put garlic cloves under the skin of the chicken. Depends on how many pounds the chicken is. I always cook mine at 350. For a 4 - 6 pound chicken it normally takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours. If you don't have a meat thermometer, a rule of thumb is to turn the drumstick - If it moves easily, the chicken is done. The only part of the chicken you need to check when done cooking is the thigh meat. For me that is the part that takes the longest to cook. Good luck with your chicken!!!

I would say another 1/2 hour or so..
You should of cooked it most the way before putting the stuffing in..
Don't cut into the chicken until you've let it sit for at least 15 minutes..If you do that juices will run out and it will get dry..

This doesn't help you now but the next time you bake a chicken I swear by this recipe/method...take what you like out of the recipe and customize it to make it your own but the key is to flip the chicken over after roasting and let it rest while the juices are soaking into the bird. It is the moistest and most tender chicken you will ever cook.

25-30 min per pound if stuffed.are you dry roasting? or is it coverd with liquid in the pot ?these things make a difference.at 2 hours grab the leg (using a glove of course) and give it a twist. if it pops out of the thigh joint it,s done.

another 30-45 minutes, if you keep the oven door shut!
In the future, put the stuffing in a separate dish to speed things along, and be sure it reaches a hot enogh temp. to not cause foodborne illness.

It's done now. Take a fork and pull the leg away from the thigh and if no blood runs out or it isn't pink it is done.
