Last I looked humanity has never invented a weapon it didn't use and as I worked in R&D in the military I know that all of the researchers and developers where scientists and engineers, not a single member of the clergy, why should I trust science?
In fact I don't see where in history a priest, pastor, reverend or what have you ever invented a weapon.

ChaChaCha, my point is that what scientists do is not always invent good things and therefore are unworthy of my trust. BTW, God invented cleaning myself ever heard of rain, rivers streams, leaves, and grass, all things that God made. Our ability to improve on these is proof that God made us capable of rational inventive thought. Weapons on the other hand are a product of the irrational inventive thought of mankind.

Science deified and separated form philosophy is extremely dangerous, especially as we become more technologically advanced while impiety and moral confusion increases. Most scientists today are handicaps in terms of knowledge, they are the equivalent of ignorant workers who know how to do things but do not understand the higher meaning which has always been consdered higher by men who love truth and knowlegde. In fact most of these workers in science deplore any suggestion of accountability, morality above them, divine order, or meaning. They are knowledgable in their limited areas of how some physical things work but severely ignorant and superficial in terms of human purpose and divinity with the result that great ability is in the hands of moral morons. It used to be the advancement in knowledge meant advancement in virtue but that marraige has been severed. Today any immoral or impious person can be an inventor or business person or worker in science, their soul being negelcted in fact they even mock thoise who value thise things and postpone a morality until they see it, thereby making themselves the equivalent of amoral animals of the field with advanced stone tools and sticks.

The church fights with money, guilt and brainwashing. Those things are more powerful then weapons. I hate to break it to you, but can you see anywhere in history where a priest, pastor, reverend or whatever has invented anything useful besides religion?
I don't entirely trust science (then again, you shouldn't exclusively trust anyone anyway), but it has certainly done a lot of good.

Scientists and engineers may develop them, but it's the religious whakaloons arange for their use. Point in case, the attacks on 9/11 were not conducted by Atheists. They were conducted by Islamic extreamists who improvised the use of jet liners as missiles. The religious folk resent progress and development.

Science also brought you modern medicine and living, transportation, and information/entertainment efficiency, in fact, you'd be stuck in a cave without it.
Religion has also brought you bigotry, intolerance, persecution and war.

priests, pastors, and reverends don't make the weapons, just brainwash children to be good little boys and girls and fight for the cause.
