Dye hair with a box?

My natural hair color is an ashy brown but it has blonde highlights in it right now. If I wanted to dye it brown with a box how do I make sure it doesn't turn green?

Try the patch test as recommended on the box, read the information that's in the box too. I would be concerned if you were using a bleaching product. Your chances of getting "green hair" might be a worry.

Most boxes suggest you do a patch test first. Test the dye on a small patch of hair where if it does turn green it won't be noticeable.
