Will we be doing a happy dance for all eternity, saying 'Ooooh, look at me! I'm in heaven'??

What will we do there? What was the point of striving to get there?

The prophet Muhammed (pbuh) describes heaven as a place that no human being can imagine. It can never be compared to anything you have seen.

Allah Almighty created Heaven with 500 levels. The highest level will have the Prophets, the Martyrs and the most righteous, loving and pious believers the world ever had. The lowest level of paradise will be for those who barely made it to Heaven.

The portion each person will have in the lowest level will be five times bigger than the size of the planet earth.

No dung, piss, bad body odor, bad breath, or bad sweat smell will exist in Heaven. The food and the drinks that we consume into our bodies will turn into great smelling musk. The higher the person's level in Paradise the better his smell will be.

Each human person in Paradise will have his own world. In his world he will have lofty mansions, beautiful nature, great food; plenty of tasty meat, fruits, vegetables, rivers of honey and milk, and other great gifts of anything he desires from Allah Almighty:

Every winner of Paradise's world will also be filled with Servants and virgin Houris. All winners of Paradise will enjoy the service of the young Servants and virgin Houris

The greatest things that will happen to us in Heaven is that Allah Almighty will be present there. We will be able to directly communicate with Him, and He will be our friend, and we will be able to live near Him.

Ofcourse, this is only a fraction of what heaven holds. Check out the source to see the actual verses of the holy Quran that describe heaven.

We will all let out Whitman's famed "barbaric yawp" and walk around smugly giving high-fives and drooling about where Jesus is. Jesus will be playing an eternity-long game of hide-and-seek with his spiritual father. Then someone will say "oops, we were wrong" and we'll all fall back to the earth where we can receive a proper burial.

HOW I KNOW:
The Bible says so.
I've seen it with my own EYES.
God told me.
Atheists are demons.
And other such mumbo-jumbo...

*Wow! I never knew that only Christians could lose their loved ones, but according to Motherof3 this is so! I guess this makes me an honorary question. I also didn't know that very young people are too young for someone to just go and die around them. It's amazing the things you learn here on Yahoo R&S!

In heaven, you can wish for anything you want. You'll have all the freedom you want. You won't have to do any work. You won't hear any bad words or anything like that. Heaven is described as the "good life".

Your second question is"What was the point of striving to get there?" Well, you'll be protected by "god". Nobody will hurt you. Like iv'e said before, you'll have all the freedom you want and you can ask for anything you want. Also, you won't have to worry about anything. Heaven is your way to LIGHT.

Even science says we live in an expanding universe, nothing God does is static. with the sin problem resolved here on earth, all who advance to the kingdom heaven will have an eternity to discover and explore the vastness of creation, science tell us there are billions of galaxies and trillions of worlds out there. mankind will will finally be able to fufill one of the destinies he was created for, to expand ever onward and outward into the cosmos, without fear of tainting it with all of the sin sickness he now subjects the earth too, think about it, world's without end, each different from the last, pristine and free from war ,greed, fear, hatred, disease and all the common ills that beset mankind now. And on top of that everyone in perfect health with love, unceasing joy and most of all contentment. you base your question on the notion that eventually people will run out of things to do and become bored. that is flawed. everyone will be joyusly content and contentment leaves no room for boredom, contentment is being fufilled in all your needs. with all of time to do what you want. i could contently set out on a walk of a few million light years to visit my friends in the neighboring galaxy where the have made a beautiful planet their home. learn to play every instrument known to man to the nth degree and start my own praise band. and still have nothing but time and contentment. You can choose hell and suffering and discontent for eternity(that is your choice) but being of sound mind (and not so much body) i choose an eternity of love , peace joy, happiness and contentment,

The spirit of man is created for pure and sinless life with GOD. Therefore, it is of a different nature from the spirituality of Satan. Your spirit cannot live in the totality of satanic worlds. That is reserved for flesh and blood.

The only condition for spirits to live with GOD is that they are born of the Spirit. They are then in the suitable condition to do the will of GOD. The end to the reign of Satan will be marked by destruction of this world and the people in it with fire. Isaiah 24:6 and 2 Peter 3:7. Then, the reign of Jesus will begin and the spirits of those who survive will enter into the kingdom of GOD on the condition that they have been born of the Spirit.

Spirits do not perish like flesh and blood. If the reign of Jesus begins and your spirit is not born of Spirit, John 3:3-8, then your spirit will not enter into the kingdom of GOD. As your spirit can only be active in a life with GOD, your state of burning will persist for ever.

The Scriptures describe heaven as a gorgeous place. In Revelations is says we won't even need a lamp to light to see in the darkness because there will be no darkness. God will be our light. The streets are paved with gold, and all kinds of rubies and beautiful stones will be everywhere. Gates are made of one big pearl. It is a gorgeous place. You can find this description in the last chapter in Revelation I believe.
We all have a spirit and they are made to live eternally. You can live in one of two places when you die, you can go on and live in heaven with the Father or you can choose to live in Hell with the Devil. Our spirits will live on forever in one place or the other. It will be a great place with no tears or unhappiness the Scriptures say.......yeah! Oh..we will also have new bodies and everything will be different, we won't have limitations as we have here....

Well, according to Christians, reality has just begun. We'll finally have complete access to God...which means endless joy. That sounds like something worth striving for.

First of all the city of God will dwell on earth (Revelations 12). The city will be about 40 miles high like a futurisitic nano-tech space station. What could people with eternal life do in an universe with millions, billions of galaxies? The stars await.

Oh yeah, let's not leave out the perfect love and peace they all will enjoy with God.

What a day of rejoicing that will be!
In my understanding it is going to be a feast, a joy to worship God unhindered by limited earthly bodies, and minds. Our creativity will be to the max. Everything we do will be rewarding and enjoyable.
Other than that... I don't know... but I used to think it would be BORING but now I am convinced that is just not the case.
And I sure would be glad to give ole Godzilla a hug!
Just don't bite my head off or tromp all over me!

If we actually read the scriptures, we will know that progression and learning are eternal principles. We will never stop learning. The whole point is to become like God and gain eternal families.

There will be a period of rest in paradise, but did God send us here to learn laziness? No, He sent us to become like Him.
