We're buying the booze for our upcoming wedding. So far we have vodka, gin, and rum. We plan to get some whiskey, spiced rum and lots of mixers, but I'm wondering if we're leaving anything out. We just want to be bale to make basic drinks, sours, manhattans, martinis...nothing fancy or too elaborate. Are we forgetting something?

Don't forget things like Vermouth (dry and sweet), Bitters, Triplesec, etc. Can't make a Martini or a Manhattan without Vermouth.
I would get Tequila too.
Garnishes.
Beer Wine (I assume you were getting them)
Gin get a good gin but not alot, not as popular
If you can afford it hire a bartender

Scotch. If you get whisky, please get Wild Turkey, and Jack in the Black. These will be as popular as the vodka. You will brobably have gin and rum left over, unless you have a bunch of snooty hi-class guests that have to have their martini's.
Don't forget the "clown decorations" for each drink. You know like the olive in the martini, the umbrella in the coke and rum, celery stick in the Bloody Mary, etc.
Oh yeah, don't forget the Margaritas! They can be mixed in a 5 gallon bucket. Chilled, and served over crushed ice. Don't forget the lime to wet the rim with or the salt.

Shucks! You need me there to bar keep for you, plus I'm a good bouncer for Uncle Louie when he gets a snoot full.

Make sure to have ganrishes (cherries, lemon slices, lime slices). Also domestic beer and tequila wouldn't hurt.
