After all Christ himself taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves. He is also known as the Prince of Peace. I think it would be good idea if more of us who believe in Him worked harder to follow His example. Do most people agree?

Wherever Christ walked, violence wasn't far behind. And the name of Jesus in the quest for peace seems to get dropped after the first few stages and swapped for something else even less believable.

But in the case of Africa and America, there's nothing wrong. If society is in danger of falling apart (well, much more so in Africa) then I don't see the problem in it. In fact, I condone it - as a temporary measure. It's better to see people working together as a society, working efficiently to solve problems, then fighting each other and self-destructing. This is an un-Satanic way to think (and it's where I draw the line with the guy in my pic).

There's nothing human, nothing natural, about falling into chaos. Sure, we are chaotic beings, but even beasts manage to balance themselves in an ecosystem or a structured society. We just trample over it. If there's nothing left in the long run, it's great for ourselves, but it's squarely against our interests and our natural duty.

In the case of war-weary countries, yes, the word of Christ could be followed to help things improve. But are people really going to do that anyway? Why is it so many people claim to follow the word of God but can't commit to its basic rules, especially not to Kill? And where's the bit that tells you how to effectively deal with assholes?

The word of Christ was carried to America, carried to Africa, and to Europe. Has the fighting ceased? Or has it just got worse? You tell me!

I think you'd be better off g peace and keeping the "in the name of Christ" part to yourself. Bringing religion or Christianity into it is a huge turn-off to a lot of people.

Sure, if it is a peace that God wants. Jesus was not interested in peace with the money changers at the temple. Peace has to go hand in hand with justice and wisdom.

Yes, indeed. But Jesus also said that wars will be always among us. I would not want to risk my eternal destiny "under the name of peace". He also said that a lot of peole are doing a lot of bad things in His name. He was right. We need to love our neighbors.

Your a hypocrite sir, you lack the ability to even know about the example my Lord set.You and your religion are like those who sold in the temple, money changers,a den of thieves. You worship statues and then talk about love. You spread false doctrines of men and then talk about love. The word of God is true, Satan will come as an Angel of Light ! and you have proved that.

I think that would be nice. I also think that it would be nice if Christians did as other religious. It's fine to mention that you're a Christian, and fine to talk to those who inquire about Christianity. What bothers me is the folks who feel the need to preach on every soap-box they can find.

When someone asks me about my faith, I'm happy to talk to them. I don't thoug (as happened to me just tonight) point to a person's emblem of faith and say "This way is much better". That degrades a faith, rather than promoting one. It cheapens and weakens a position. It turns a savior into one who accosts others and unwillingly imposes themselves on others.

Sharing one's faith when asked is a virtue. Trying to impose it on others is an assault.
