At first mama cat may yearn for her baby, as this is her natural instinct to care for her litter. But after a few days she will be fine and probably rather subdued.
10-12 weeks is the age when mama cat will start to wean her babies from nursing and give up on her mama duties, so you picked a good age to offer them to another family.
Our mama has had 5 litters in her life, and we've managed to give away MOST of her babies. she's fared well through each parting. We kept 5 of her babies from various litters (we live out in the country and have room for them) and she doesn't even acknowledge them as her own anymore. In fact, she's rather not deal with them at all now that she's finally spayed.

Cats are not people and do not have the emotional capacity or memory of humans. Although she is cabable of loving her babies while they are in her care, it will be no time at all before she forgets she was mama kitty at all.

I haven't had any problem with my mother cat missing her kittens. What I was told was that at about 12 weeks mothers ween their kittens, and if they were in the wild, the mother would leave them, that is the way it works they do not stay together forever, so taking a kitten away from there mom is a natural thing, she might miss them, but she knows that this is the way that it works, it's natural.

She maybe a bit confused to begin with, but she will quickly get over it. I have experienced this with several litters of kittens. If mom and kitten are separated for more than a few weeks, and then reintroduced they will not even remember each other. They will hiss and spit at each other like complete strangers. Don't worry about it too much, mama cat will be fine.

Ten weeks is a good age to find homes for them. By this age they will have learned plenty from mom. No, she won't miss them. If she does, it would just probably be for the day. Cats don't have the memory recall that we do. She will be glad to be the one and only "top cat" again. If ya wanted to you could pick out one that you like best and keep it. She would like the company I'm sure.

yes she will miss her baby. When our cats had kittens growing up and we gave away the litter the mother cat would go around the house crying for weeks, but they eventually got over it or pregnant again.

Briefly. But then Kissy will carry on. I've even heard of momma cats deliberately taking their kittens to new places to live.

My cats both appeared uninterested in their kittens once they were weaned. In fact, they treated them as they would any feline intruders so it was in all the cats interest for the kittens to be homed. I kept one from each litter but the adults continued to treat them as they would've any other cat. Animals are not the same as us, we cannot assume they experience the same emotions.

Yes, sometimes a cat's temprement can change completely after losing their kittens.

Mother cats sometime lose their trust in their owner or strangers if parted from their babies, others are sad for awhile, but get over it.
