oh yea.. i'm going to college. one of the best in the country.. so that ignorant little remark about going to college.. i'm there.. and i'm a minuteman member with a native american boyfriend, a british father, a black and a mexican for best friends, i'm not racist, i'm fed up with law breakers. Let's act a little more mature than namecalling, lets talk about the issues, cause you know you're wrong if you say that minuteman are racists, we actually have a member in our chapter whose an immigrant from chili and a member whose an immigrant from the Czech. It isnt about race, its about law.

acutually sir, i'm a minuteman and if you ask me.. i have nothing against mexicans. and i love legal immigrants.. i just dont like law breakers and i havent shot anyone.. so your stereotyping is terrible.. and this has nothing to do with race. it has to do with the law and it's sad that you have to debate fact with race because you have no leg to stand on. There are racists in every group as the gentleman before said.. but the majority have no problems with people of other races. the phrase is for the race everything, for everyone else, nothing. I have spoken to many of the organizers of La Raza and they have told me this directly.

I never said La Raza meant everyone.. i know it mean the race.. i speak spanish.. i said that their MOTTO means for the race everything, for everyone else nothing.. that's where that came from. America was built on immigrants.. the difference is that they were immigrants who did it the right way.. it's called Ellis Island. America legally accepts 1 million immigrants a year, why cant the illegals get in line with everyone else. As far as us being nationalistic or whatever, you're right. i firmly believe America is the greatest country in the world.. that's called being patriotic. I welcome immigrants.. not illegals. We are no longer a nation of immigrants, we havent been for a 100 years since my parents and grandparents were American born. Stop associating them with immigrants, they are not immigrants, they have no ethic and they are lawbreakers (criminals) plain and simple, they are not the same immigrants who came to america the right way.

I think it’s somewhat disingenuous to pretend that the white majority in this country hasn’t practiced racism and racial discrimination for most of its history. Minority groups have formed organizations defensively, including religious minorities. The racism practiced against certain groups is so well documented as to be indisputable. When one of the groups that has been discriminated against in the past claims that actions against them now are discriminatory, one would tend to examine their claims carefully.

I don't call it racism, I call it ignorance. Happy?

Oh and another difference is that I've never heard of a La Raza member shoot or torture a non-Raza........Happens alot with the Minutemen. And what are you talking about? All I hear in these forums is how 'La Raza' is racist and I don't know what. Do you guys ever bother to ask them things? I have and they do respond by the way.

Their mission statement is: "Private, non-profit, and non-partisan organization focused on reducing poverty and discrimination, and improving opportunities, for Hispanic Americans."

My answer when asking them what they stood for and that I was confused if it was only for Chicanos....

"Thats a very good question. To start our name reflects our belief "LA RAZA" and with that word we mean everybody of Indigenous descent from the Natives on the Rez to all the Chicanos/Mexicanos and Raza in the Barrios and Latino America. That is what we mean by La Raza.
When we use the word Chicano we use it to signify a sort of common denominator a sort of point of Unity. All of La Raza is not of Mexican descent or not even Mexican anymore eventhough that is our greatest root within our communities and barrios there are alot of Raza whom are of Native American descent and from Centro and even Sur America brown indigenous people. There fore the experience that we all have here is of a Chicano an indigenous person in the occupied states of America. The experience you have of growing up here is not necessarily that of a Mexicana but of a Chicana.

Hope this has helped a bit companera. Take care and any other questions you may have feel free to make them."

I've been researching them and reading about them and it just seems like they are empowering latinos. I personally don't have anything against pride, if Caucasians want to have a pride group that is fine with me, as well as African-Americans, Asians, or any others, it is okay as long as they don't put anybody else down.

Minutemen are fed up with the feds and are taking a stance. It's the American thing to do. When your government lets you down, do something about it. La Raza is no different than a drug cartel only their secret stash coming into the country is people.

Raza means:

1. (de personas) race, ancestry
2. (de los animales) breed

This is what the SPANISH dictionary says what it means. If THAT ain't racist, I don't know what is! They keep saying that the term La Raza means EVERYONE...but not by definition. Their actions speak louder then words...if they were for HISPANIC betterment in these United States, then they would have stepped in when the three law officers who are Hispanic decent were protecting this country ended up getting arrested for doing their jobs. Instead they took the side of the law breakers...Racist to the point of being on the same level as the KKK.

The minutemen are trying to PROTECT these United States from illegal aliens who want to travel over the border, it doesn't matter WHERE these people come from..they just want it stopped. What is racist about that?

Jason...list someplace where a MM shot at someone.. You can't. The fact is that there are more AMERICANS who are killed via illegal aliens than Americans getting killed over in Iraq...THAT I CAN BACK UP.

Racist is normally one that attacts a race for their own beleif that they are superior to that race.
People fighting to stop illegals coming here are being called racist by Mexicans to try to stop them from stopping them from coming here illegal. Trying to defend ones boarders is not Racist, it loyal to ones country.
We the People should be applauding these people that take their personal time to help the government defend the boarders.
Yet We the People should be demanding a Constitutional amendment. like this:
have been saying for years that we need to do a Constitutional amendment. We the People need to demand that a amendment to the Constitution states that if your here illegal, You or a born child on our soil can not become a citizen, you can receive no health care, medical supplies, welfare, or any other item that comes free to U.S. citizens, as well as stating that Illegals have no rights under the Constitution as to legal counsel, trail to stay here, or anything that can delay them in our country, just that they will be deported ASAP, to the farthest point in their own country, also in this amendment it will punish employers for hireling with harsh fines, putting owners and CEOs in jail for years requiring them to pay the lost taxes on illegals, lost SS, lost medical collected, lost school fees for teachers, etc., just keep piling on the fees and punishment.
If there are no jobs why would an illegal come here? If there are no jobs, free things for them to steal, no gift citizenship, no schools, no medical then they would go home.
We let in some 1 million legal aliens a year that take years to apply and come, why should We the People just give criminals (illegals) citizenship or any other thing we paid for all our life?
www.senate.gov/general/contact...
www.house.gov/writerep/
Here the sites you need as We the People to contact your Congressman and demand that this type law is done now, not years from now. Threaten to get this out in your area, to vote them out, etc…
REMEMBER. Raist is someone that attacts for fear of them selves, People that defend boarder, here or abroad, are heros.

For the same reason that everyone who is against the illegal invasion are being called racist. The term racist is a straw man that is encouraged by La Raza and other pro-amnesty groups.

I support the Minute Men literally since they are in Arizona at the border where I am. They are volunteers doing the job that the government won't do. The Minute Men are HEROES. Anyone who is against the Minute Men, is either an American traitor, or a foreign invader, in other words enemies of the USA.

The term Raza originates from a book written by Mexican author Jose vasconcelos. In the book he identifies the Spanish(and other Latins) race as a kind of crucible for the mixture of all other races. He believed that there would one day be an American race(Latin America and not just the united states) that would come out of the years of blood mixing in Latin America. Americans cannot stand this idea because they are a bunch of racist xenophobes. We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us!

One thing it's everything for the race(Hispanic race), they are ONLY showing patriotism for their race just as Americans show patriotism. Minutemen on the other hand are shooting and demeaning Mexicans. I can guarantee if you ask a Minuteman what he thinks about Hispanics he would discriminate against them.

La Raza: The Race
Who said Raza meant "Everyone" who ever had must has been a little rusty on their Spanish. I would also like to where you were able to find stats on troops killed in Iraq to people in the states killed my Illegal aliens.

Maybe you guys hasn't realized this yet, but this land you live on, the country you know as The United States WAS made from immigrants. Without immigrants, there would be no America.Maybe you ignorant people that believe immigration to be an illegal act should go to Mexico. See how they live, see what they see, see how poor and fool of poverty it is.
Immigrants all have a reason to come to this "free" place called the U.S. for a reason... to get away from what they have to live through now, all the MM and anit-immigration people are heartless pigs that only care for themselves. And to prove that "everything for the race" in NOT racist is "God Bless AMERICA" what about everyone else? No other countries our up to date with America? America is the greatest?

48,000 people killed from illegal aliens? How can they prove that they were killed by illegal aliens, and not U.S citizens... you can't

I have been on this planet for awhile, probably alot longer that most of you here, I think I can truly say that there are racists in all groups. The Minutemen are doing their job the best they can. La Raza is very racial. So is the NAACP. So are the KKK. Everyone has their own group.
