I'm not heavy nor fat...but would like to lose the gut on my stomach...to expose my abs.Would freestyle laps in my pool do it over time?My pool in the back yard is 30 feet in length so I'm not to sure how many laps I should do a day and for how long.

Yes, swimming works every muscle. It's the best exercise you could do. If you combine it with crunches, you'll see results faster.

Well doing laps will increase your cardiovascular output if you really tear after it, and eventually your overall body fat will lessen...25-45 minutes per day would help..time much easier to track than number of laps..which gets tedious
but flatten your stomach? I don't think so...crunches and swimming
Also change of diet....too many beers?? Too few veggies? Eat more fish/olive oil/shellfish/rice/olives/fruits and veggies, and less pasta/potatoes and red meat....easy to say hard to do unless you really are committed to a change

yes it will, but it will take a little time to get resalts. swimming takes the fat and use it to make energy so you can lose more. you also have to eat healthy.
