Do not use ICE water. Take tepid (lukewarm) shower. Don't irritate the sunburn with any extremes in water temperature. When you shower use a mild soap with NO perfume/deoderants such as plain dove or dial. Be sure to rinse well, so no soap is left to cause further irritation.
Aloe vera gel is excellent.

You can use aloe vera gel as long as there are no blisters. Keep the gel in the fridge until it's cool and then spread it on your skin. The cool gel will cool your skin down and you will be more comfortable. Wear a shirt you can afford to lose as the gel will likely stain it.

If you have blisters, do not use aloe gel. You will need an ointment called silver sulfadiazine. It's an antibiotic ointment that will cool the burn and relieve pain. You need a prescription for it. A burn with blisters is an open wound and can get infected very easily. It's a second degree burn.

A first degree burn is mildly painful and should heal within a week. Do not exposed your newly healed skin to the sun. You may or may not peel. Don'y scratch it if it itches. Keep your skin moist and clean. Next time, wear sunscreen.

in simple terms line below the underwires with some Puffs (tissue). they are gentle and could shop the underwires from causing you a lot soreness till you'll get some Aloe. The Banana Boat After solar Lotion is basically only a moisturizer for use after sunning and swimming, because salt water and chlorine will dry the exterior out.

I don't know if it has been scientifically proved or not, but from past experinces with mild burns, I found out that Milk actually helps sooth the pain alittle bit. But you should consult with a Physician for some kind of ointment or cream you can use.

Actually ice can help any kind of burn. If the burn is minor the ice used immediately after the burn can prevent damage and pain. In general water ice will not cause frost burn but don't keep it on the burn too long at a time.

tepid showers are good, even sponge baths for now would be ideal less pain from the shower that way, keep the area well moisturized is key, apply moisture consistently to the affected area. Take care, hope this heals soon.

Have your significant other sit next to you and keep blowing on your sunburn...preferably after you put the aloe on. Feels ICE COLD.
