if u dye your hair dark.and highlight it a carmel color will the carmel color look right.?

i died my hair brown..and now i want to highlight it a carmel color and blonde...if i try to highlight it a carmel color im afraid it will come out a weird color and won't look right or look like the carmel color i pick out is this true or will it look ok

yes dye ur hair black and get carmel highlights, i did that to my hair and i was afraid it wouldnt turn out right, but it looked really good so you should try it sometime

My hair is naturaly brown, but I tend to dye it dark brown or black. When I highlighted my hair when it was black, it came out orangish. But as the black dye faded to brown, the highlights started looking really good.
