I was analy masterbating a week ago and i saw a small amount of blood but didn't really take it to consideration. On monday i had a fever and a sore throat. I went to the doctor on tuesday just told her i've been having a fever and she said it was a sore throat, she prescribed antibiotics. I've been taking my anitbiotics and the only way i control my fever is through tylenol. Now after a week, i still have a fever, my throat is still sore, my neck is stiff and i have discomfort in my lower back, i really don't want to go to the doctor and tell them what going on, what do i have, and what should i do?

Sorry, but you need to go back to the doctor. If you have been on antibiotics for a week with no improvement, the antibiotic is not working for you. I am more concerned over the complete picture of symptoms than just the fever.

This time, tell your doctor everything...believe me, you aren't the only man who masturbates and it won't be the first time she has heard this. However, you are cheating yourself of a true diagnosis and proper treatment....not to mention money...when you aren't honest with your doctor. How is the doctor supposed to help you when you don't disclose all pertinent information?

Please call your doctor back and get another appointment.

I had a low grade fever for weeks when I had mono. But, not, it's not normal, and you need to see another doctor and reiterate how long you've had the fever. It's ridiculous how doctors many times just want to dismiss you, but there are certain kinds of cancer and other serious diseases that can cause this symptom, and you need to be pushy if necessary to get an answer.
