Same here, minus the cake.
We aren't Irish, but I LOVE corned beef!!!!!

I make it at least once a month, but we usually have Reuben sandwiches since we make our own sauerkraut.
MMMMMM---I'm getting hungry!

Maybe you (or someone) can tell me how to make corned beef that has flavor to it!! I've tried it on a few occasions and still don't like it.

So we are having ham, cabbage and red bliss potatoes, all boiled up together. Dessert will be pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Sounds more German than Irish, but that's okay because Mom's side of the family was English and German while Dad's side was Irish. Makes me a bit of a mutt, I guess!

Have a great evening and your meal sounds delicious, especially the chocolate cake...yummy.

ENJOY!

That's a good St Patty's Day meal! I am making pasta w/ meat sauce. I had all my Irish food last weekend at the parade.

Went out for a big seafood dinner last night as it was my birthday, not everyone is home tonight so we'll probably do a "fend-for-yourself" night.
