Back in my day, the only real question was, "Dirt -- is this new substance animal, vegetable, or mineral?"

probably not lie exactly. When a question is posed to a teacher because a student truly does not know the answer than it is not a stupid question. However, some of the questions I've seen on yahoo answers I would say there are many stupid questions. lol....

If its a genuine question then there is no such thing as a stupid question. But if your question is supposed to be funny and is completen on-sense, then ya that is a stupid question.
