Weightlifting for a 13 year old?
is this alot for me . im 13

i squat 300
i bench 215
and
power clean 205
and i plan on attempting to qualify for the junior olympics in a few months
but i was wondering if that was alot?

by the way im about 5'7 155

yes ,a lot of full grown men can't lift that much.Please consult a doctor,and find a professional trainer ,you are still growing without proper training and education you can cause physical injuries that will damage you for life.enjoy yourself.

I wouldn't say this is a lot for your age, but a lot for your size. You probably know that shorter people bulk up faster because their bodies are more compact. When I was 13, I was 5 foot nothing. Now I'm 14 and 5'5". I can squat more than 300 lbs because I concentrate mostly on my legs abs and back. I don't bench much because there isn't usually any one to spot me. I think benching 205 lbs is a lot. I weigh 115 lbs and bench 135 lbs.

I could do that in... a year

It's definitely A LOT for any 13 year old. But if you have the potential, drive, and passion for it, sure. Good luck and please don't hurt yourself

WOW you are really strong for your age!!!!

I can only back squat 300 and I am 18.....so you are really strong! I stay clear of bench only because Im a girl, and I dont want pecs.

i am 13 also, and you should kknow this...i was told by my volleyball coach not to weight lift because it stunts ur growth, so i didnt and i am 5 foot 9 inches. similar weight as you...wow, amazing isnt it?srry i am just bored. and wanted to share.
