Law enforcement can and will impound a vehicle for a variety of reasons from DUI to warrants for the driver to not having proof of insurance. Depending on the siutation they can and will put a 30 day hold on your car.

In some states, including the state of California, there is indeed a mandatory hold of 30 days when your vehicle has been impounded. If you are in one of them, then yes, assuming your question is about that. If not, please clarify.

I lost my psychic powers today and can not see what question you are asking.

I presume that in the US, most impound cars have various days before they are sold. Check with the local police department. In Texas, I think it is 30 days. But one guy said they usually hold on to them longer if you talk to them.
