I mean is it a constant state of search, instead of a static one?

We began in a state of being enlightened, which is first. Then we reach the second stage of becoming enlightened. For instance, we may not know exactly what God requires of us. So he starts to enlighten us on some things. Well, you need to read, pray, and fast. This is him enlightening us on what to do when we get saved. Then after we accomplish it, we are in a state of becoming enlightened which means we have reached our full potential in what he instructed us to do. Good question. Consider your soul, God loves you!

I see it in both aspects. First is the sudden enlightenment of [for me anyway] doing a flip and ending up in cosmic space and seeing God with the same eye as God is seeing me with and understanding all things are like this. Later there is gradual practise to deepen the state, each movement or becoming in what is, is like a ripple of bliss in the absolute.
