When will the uneducaed and under informed Yahoo users figure out that the U.S. Military carries out the orders of the President? When will they learn that the military didn't decide to invade Iraq and Afghanistan? When will they learn that the military has no political agenda and is not elected?

never. there will always be stupid ppl out there, unfortunately. of course, people can change their minds, but there will always be another stupid person stepping in to fill their place.

It is true that the military follows the orders of the president however the upper echelon of the military is very political. Each general or admiral is trying their best to impress the politicians so as to gain more favor in the form of money and toys.
Whenever the military is set in motion as was the case in the first Iraq war and also the 2nd Iraq war it WILL be used and that is guaranteed. Is the military elected? No! Is the military political? Hell yea!!!

The President is the Commander In Chief... that sounds like the big cheese to me... I have family members who are on active duty, trust me they follow orders - they may or may not think there is a reason to be in Iraq but they are following orders.... You will never convince some people that the sky is blue... why try?

As I understand it, the military carries out the orders of the House and Senate and the President is their mouthpiece.
