You can become an actor if you find the right directors/producers who respect your sabbath. Sure it might be hard but if you really search you will find. Most acting jobs are in Hollywood and there are many Jews and I'm sure you will find some SDAs. Just pray that God guides you in the right direction. If you look on our website adventist.org you can look for a list of organizations/churches in the LA, hollywood area so when you plan to move you will be able to make some contacts. GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS YOU.

Im not real familiar with SDA. I would say you are free to do any job you wish.. Be happy in your life and don't let people tell you can't do something. No religion should dictate what people do in their life. Why would have to change your beliefs to become an actor?
As a Christian, I do not belong to a certain religion because for one thing, God is against religions.. I live by the Bible and the Ten Commandments and I am very blessed each...

I think that in the film industry, they have sunday and saturday off, just like banks, so I would not see this as a problem unless they had a certain studio only available on Saturday.

I don't think anyone would try to force you to work on Friday night and Saturday, but they would be more disposed to hire people who could perform on those days, since that's when the theatres operate.

Check with your clergyman to see if there is some flexibility.

There are 7th day Aventist actors. Clifton Davis is a black actor who has appeared in several television shows (remember Amen on NBC), written popular songs, been in plays, and he is also an ordained 7th day Adventist minister. He has appeared on a number of Christian programs.
