I'm so glad we live in a world where you can choose to
(a) become a scientist, and spend your whole life gaining expertise in one or two specific fields of study to help those less experienced than you gain knowledge of how the world works, or
(b) become an expert in all fields of study by simply saying "God did it" or "The Lord works in mysterious ways."

Isn't religion great? Instant expertise! And unlike science, where all results will be put under scrutiny if they do not agree with each other to determine where the error lies so that it can be corrected... with religion if you and your neighbor have differing beliefs of the world you just have to respect each other's beliefs! Can't even question them without coming off as disrespectful!

Fabulous!

Thank you for proving that intolerance and prejudice are not unique to those of us that believe in God. I also thank some of the other answerers for the same reason. Many of us are educated and intelligent enough to think that science and religion are two different things, not two opposing things. Peace be with you

LMAO! It's wonderful, isn't it? Then if anyone asks you to prove what you're saying, you can just throw a horrid temper tantrum and scream "how dare the pot question the potter! How dare you question ALMIGHTY GAWD!" like St. Paul did. People usually leave you alone after that, and you can say, "see, I was right! I was right! I've confounded their so called wisdom! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!"

Funny :) Religion comes into play in

a) answering really big questions that just aren't that important right now i.e. UFOs and ghosts or

b) explaining what happens after death. Really, if there were no death there would be no religion.

If you consider something such as religion which divides and separates people great then that's how you perceive things to be. However I find absolutely nothing so great about that.

Actually science is another religion. Scientists keep making mistakes though. God never does.

I do not follow any religion. I follow Jesus. A lot of bad things are happening under the name of religion. Religion does not save, Jesus saves. : )
