It depends on the person and the dog. Some people are lazy with hygiene, so it's quite possible that a dog could be cleaner than them! I don't think dogs are cleaner than the average person, but I do think dogs are a lot cleaner than most people think. Their saliva is cleaner than ours, and if they sit inside all day, they don't get very dirty at all.

I have to say an indoor dog. I have an indoor dog, and when we go outside she likes to roll in things. She walks around in bare feet, and who knows what she could step in, and she doen't get a bath everyday. So I would say that an indoor dog is dirtier than a human.

Depends on the person and depends on the dog. My indoor dog is definitely cleaner than some people I know.

Rarely will a dog take a bath everyday. They just don't care about being clean. Some people don't either but even they are going to be cleaner than a typical dog.

Well I've heard of dirty old men, dirty old egg suckin dog and
figure that one was a bowery dweller and the other an old
farm hound -- neither of which is indoor. So guess it
depends on what dog and what person ? comes out 50-50

Unfortunately even some outdoor dogs are cleaner than some people I've met! But dogs are quite clean animals!

it depends on how often he is bathed, how many times he goes out side, etc.
most likely you are dirtier, just because dogs clean themselves and because you are outside and up and around more than your dog...
hope this helps

I would say the dog, simply because of dander and their inability to jump in the tub and bathe themselves.
