Cockatiels can talk; but if you teach them to whistle; that is likely all they will do.

Male cockatiels can communicate somewhat nicely, yet women folk won't be in a position to (so some distance as i understand). Are are all parrots banned in India? A cockatiel is a parrot for this reason if all parrots are banned, you won't be in a position to get a cockatiel besides..? as nicely parrots, different birds that are nicely-known to communicate are crows, starlings, or perhaps canaries (besides the fact that the latter is rarer to happen). some small parrots that are sturdy at speaking are cockatiels, budgerigars, quakers, and rainbow lorikeets. Do be conscious that whether the species of poultry is very nicely nicely-known for being super talkers, some persons choose for to on no account say a word.

They can but not as clearly as other parrots. You as the owner would probably know what they are trying to say but someone else may not.Their whistles though are always right on pitch.I have 2 that whistle the mexican hat dance and they are so cute when they do!!!!!!!!!!!

mine could talk very well, after having him for only a few months. I have to tell you that we had a dusky conure also, and after a few weeks, he started picking up words from my conure. He learned to say hello and our conues name and whistle and started putting words together when I had to give him up, long story....sad story...divorce story.... you know how that goes......anyway...
if you work with this bird, he will be a great companion and learn to chat with you a bit also

Some do and some don't.
If you start getting them to talk early (at yound age) you are more likely to get them to mimic. They more like to imitate phones, whistles and songs

Male COCKATIELS have the ability to talk, but females do not.
Just because a bird has the ability to talk, however, does not guarantee that it will talk.
