Just a reminder - I refer to Protestant churches as any denomination besides Roman Catholicism or Eastern Orthodoxy. If you are a Jehovah's Witness, for example, what place (if any) does Pentecost have in your religion and so on and so forth.

Joel Osteen certainly seems like he has no skeletons in his closet yet many people flock to him and others like him. Keep the answers flowing.

The falling away in "God's House" has already begun. Attendance is down, immorality is on the rise.

Preachers preach to tickle the ears of a congregation that does not want to hear the TRUTH. We have so many false teachers, and it seems most of them are on TBN! Joel Osteen is one of my biggest irritations....he spends all his time essentially repeating "Im okay, your okay" and doesnt introduce one ounce of scripture until the very last 5-10 minutes of the "sermon". Then you have all the pedophilia and deceit and GREED in the catholic church....its these who make REAL CHRIST FOLLOWERS LOOK HORRID.!!

Pentecost was the day when the HOLY SPIRIT came and fell upon the disciples....to empower them to preach, and to prove to the doubtful around that they were going to obey CHRIST ASCENDED and continue to spread the GOSPEL. Most protestant churches do not emphasize the Gifts of the Spirit, and grim upon those who lift their hands in praise to our omniscient Holy GOD.

The church is an part of worship. In biblical situations, many situations believers ought to fulfill in residences or different establishments which replaced proper right into a church. The Church is the body of Christ. All christians at the same time. So in spite of your church is termed doesn't count number. as long as its bible depending and follows biblical doctrine its ok. do now no longer difficulty with reference to the decision, difficulty about if it follows scripture. So the surely call of a commonly used-day "Church" should be "an part of worship". Which in truth contains the church, a number of of christians amassed at the same time to worship.

I don't think it has at all. I know that Pentecost is celebrated in my church 50 days after Easter, just as it was recorded that it happened in the scripture. I do not know what you are referring to at all, but it's not lost its place in my church.

Interesting.......Pentecost does seem to be a fading observation. This most important day(I think second only to Easter) is more of a day marking the beginning of summer.

Bob...Protestant Churches that follow the liturgical calendar celebrate Pentecost. I have no idea what churches you are refering to sweety. Mine certainly celebrates it.
I might be your science teacher.

Pentecost has lost its place through man made doctrines, the commandments of men, tradition that has made the word of God without effect and power..Though it is still in a few (very few) churches...
