Ignore them but please do not act like them. The kinder and intelligent atheists post far fewer questions and answers. Have you ever noticed that it seems to be the same with religious folks? For some reason stupid people speak the most and say the least. Peace be with you

Well I'm not an atheist or a christian, but I have asked legitimate questions and the answers I receive are either hateful or assumptions are made that I'm somehow out to get the christian. Perhaps if you responded without sarcasm, insults or hate, and actually showed "the christ within you", you might find that you will be shown some respect.
Ask Father K, wolfeblayde, The Last Ent wife and jinenglish.
They are highly respected christians in this cyber community.

Most of the time you are better off ignoring them. They are sometimes like children on a playground, hurling taunts to see if they can get a reaction. Getting you to stoop to their level is what it's all about. I do find it unfortunate that Christians cannot address one another in their question headings, looking for answers from other Christians regarding a biblical point, without being deluged by mocking atheist replies. Simple
courtesy should tell them that if a question is addressed to one group, others need not reply to it. I don't reply to questions addressed to Muslims or Jews, for the simple reason that I know they are not addressing me, and I cannot give them the kind of answers they are looking for. I wish atheists exercised the same courtesy.

you could also switch the words christian and atheist around. i myself try to answer only intelligent questions from both atheists and christians and try to ignore stupid, mocking questions because they are a waste of time. but then there are questions that i feel i must respond to with sarcasm because they are so insulting. it doesnt do any good but it makes me feel better and it gives a few laughs.

If the person asking the question is sincere, then I think that it needs to be answered. If the person asking the question is not sincere or is simply trying to get a Christian to say something that can be used against him/her, then the question NEEDS to be answered. I say this for two reasons. First, this is what Christ did. The Pharisees constantly asked Him questions trying to trap Him, yet He answered them. We are to be like Him. Second, when you answer the question, you never know who else might hear the answer and what effect it might have on them.

I agree. lately I have been getting sarcastic and striking back too. I think we should just try to avoid answering the mocking questions and look for the sincere ones.

I think it's best to ignore mocking/stupid questions. The asker doesn't want a sincere answer and we don't want to 'lose our religion' over it do we?
Some "stupid" questions to you could be sincere and to answer them may teach a truth to someone who honestly doesn't understand. But if they are just being obnoxious, I ignore them.

Sarcasm doesn't help the matter. Try to remember to do what Jesus would do.... WWJD????
When you believe in your faith, no matter which it is, it is extremely easy to find yourself offended and frustrated - acting on those emotions in anger can make a person seem much less than 'religious' lol...
I've been there - I feel for ya

IT IS DEFINITELY WRONG TO RESPOND WITH SARCASM
Cause it simply means striking back !! Think about it. Does Christ wishes us to strike against our brothers even they are blinded by evil, ignorance and stupidity ? No, we must help our weaker brothers and work hard to show them the Truth that they will live by, the Way that they should walk. We must keep trying until they will know Christ and they will accept him in their live. Remember that we all are brothers in Christ even if some of us are under Satan's spell.

I believe that God has sent us to this page to help get people straight. Us Christians here that are answering questions that challenge the only True Faith are here for a purpose. God probably wants us to prove everybody wrong and we should help each other out to bring others to Christ. I hope that we can nudge people over to Christ, but not to overdue it because God will do the rest!
