This is my 3rd pregnancy....unfortunately at the moment I feel as if I'm going through my 2nd miscarriage. During the 1st it wasn't until I started bleeding that I realized what was happening. I'm about 5wks if even that. I have horrible lower back pain and abdominal pain as well. Should I go to the ER immediately or wait until I start bleeding? :-(

I am going through a miscarriage right now. I can last up to two weeks. I started with bleeding (red w/clots) and it progressively got heavier. The first night I had bad cramps, but took some advil which calmed them down. I had an ultrasound done 3 days later and was told yes you are in the beginning of a miscarriage and I decided to naturally wait it out. If in two weeks I have not passed everything I will have to get a D&C. Personally unless you are in horrific pain or severly hemorraghing then go to the ER ( they will probably give you some good stiff pain meds), otherwise I would make an appointment to have an ultrasound done with your GYN. You can always opt at that time to schedule a D&C if you don't want to wait it out naturally. Hang in there!

At only 5 weeks there is nothing they can do. Lower back and abdominal pain do not necessarily mean miscarriage. Just try to relax ( i know that's hard) wait and see if it settles down. They would not even be able to see the baby on a scan to tell you if its OK so just be a bit patient and hope for the best outcome. If your pain increases or if you bleed i agree then yes but having period like symptoms is very normal at the beginning of a pregnancy. Good luck.

Well unfortunately there is nothing they can do for you that you can't do for yourself right now. There is NO stopping a miscarriage if it is going to happen.
I hope that its not however if it is the best thing to do is relax, don't blame yourself and don't get all worked up over it.

I have had several losses in the past 2 years since getting my tubal reversed. Most recent 1/07. So I know how you feel, when I get pregnant again I will be horrified until I bring that baby home in my arms!

Drink lots of fluids and put your feet up, this is not going to stop what is coming but it will help with your discomfort, and if you are in that much pain try to take a couple TYLENOL {not asprin just in case your not having a mc} ...again I hope not and if so I am terribly sorry.

I enjoyed and enjoyed each and every 2d of my toddlers becoming interior me and grow to be very fortunate for them to be born healthful, whether the two of them grow to be born with a incapacity i could have enjoyed them and on no account no longer needed them... I do see families around with baby/ren with disabilities and picture that ought to be soooo problematical. So perhaps as terrible because it ought to look it perhaps a hidden blessing. i'm nevertheless of baby bearing age and am no longer quite effective i'm performed with being pregnant and toddlers and perchance i will attempt back???? If the unlucky did ever take place i actually wish i could turn the adverse right into a favorable and nevertheless have fun the baby, i could start up by employing planting a tree/plant some thing and nuture it and watch it advance as my baby could have, on the due date (birthday) each and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days i could mild a candle and remember my angel baby... oh it is so unhappy I do wish you will stumble on a thank you to assist your self heal and rapidly. Sending hugs n smiles your way...

I have had 3 miscarriages. With my daughter, I got really bad cramping from the 5th week until the 13th week. They discovered a sub-corrheal hemorrhage and put me on bedrest. I also drank a ton of Raspberry Leaf tea for womb strength (Dr. recommended!). I would go to the doctor and get an U/S, but I wouldn't panic and run to ER -- like someone else here said, they can't stop a miscarriage. Best of luck to you!
