it depends on how you are using it. if you are using it as a non. as in Ancient Egypt, the way you want to say it obviously, it would be Antiguo Egipto.
Howevier if you are using antiguo as an adjective then it would be egipto antiguo. For example, 'voy a estudiar el antiguo egipto. is i'm going to study ancient egypt.
but if you say: el egipto es antiguo. then the adjective comes after the verb. you wouldnt say, el antiguo es egipto.

Martha P is absolutely right. It's "Antiguo Egipto". In Spanish most of the adjectives come after the noun, but there are EXCEPTIONS! There are also some adjectives that change the meaning of the phrase depending on it's location and sometimes it doesn't matter where you put the adjective (usually in poetry and literature).
e.g.
Griego antiguo = ancient Greek
Antigua Grecia = Ancient Greece
mi viejo amigo = my old friend
mi amigo viejo = my friend who's old
tengo una muy bonita amiga = i have a very pretty female friend
tengo una amiga muy bonita =i have a very pretty female friend

Antiguo Egipto
Edit.
Whether they like it or not it is Antiguo Egipto. And to the ones like josh.isa or patches, it is NOT always so.
Old Testament = Antiguo Testamento.
Far East = el lejano Oriente.
