why are you thinking about being a father again? 1st you are a father, enjoy the child you have with your ex. 2ND you don't even have a lady friend yet, why are you thinking about another child?! Put one foot in front of the other. One step at a time. :-)

Good grief- of course 42 is not too old. However, be sure you get involved with someone and/or have another child for the right reasons. You have nothing to prove to your ex. Just because she is with someone new doesn't make you some sort of loser. My ex got remarried and had a baby and I didn't even have a date for Friday nights. But I am not going to go find myself just anyone to be my "boyfriend." I will have one again when I find the right guy, and whatever my ex thinks about doesn't bother me in the least. Let it go. When you find the right woman then think about more babies. Last thing you want or need is another ex and a child you see on weekends, right?

No. A guy that used to work with me had the first of 5 kids at age 41. His wife was about 32, though.
It usta be that way, but many of my high-school reunion friends had very young kids at our 20th, and a couple were even pregnant.

It all depends....do you want to be getting a baby bonus and old age pension at the same time?
if you think at 50 you'll still be up for night feedings, trips to the park, diaper changing, are you going to have the funds for college or university, etc?
Dating- I am totally for at your age. Children bearing- I'm not so sure. However I'm not you or the woman. Only you two can decide.
