I'd like to know how people that have legally immigrated feel about illegal aliens? We all know where the citizens and illegal aliens stand, but I'd like to hear from those of you who've gone through the proper channels (by the way, thank you - glad you're here!)...

I'm sure you'd have had more response if this had posted right away.

The legal aliens I've heard of who DON'T have family illegally here don't like illegal immigration. However, a Hispanic lobbying group said that about 1/3 of the people illegally here were family of those given amnesty in 1986. They were saying absent family should automatically be given amnesty as well. Apparently the idea of timing so's not to swamp our schools, etc. is considered ignorable. So there have to be some legally here who are in favor of illegal immigration.

I'm a legal immigrant and think it's a disgrace that illegals are here. They should go through the process like everyone else.
