Play dough offers children a chance to be creative, and use fine motor skills. It also allows them to use language, and interact not only with staff, but also other children

Most children find playing with dough great fun. Toddlers love squeezing the soft material in their hands, exploring the texture and consistency of the dough. Older children enjoy playing imaginatively, making things with the dough.

Playdough is also a fun way to develop hand skills as young children poke, pinch, roll and cut. For children feeling grumpy and fed-up, playdough can be soothing and help them express their feelings. It’s economical to make your own playdough, and kids will love

Playdoh is a manipulation tool for the development of fine motor skills, it helps later on when learning to write, draw color or paint. Children with such things as , ADHD and poor hand eye coordination do well if they have some sort of fine motor manipulation, such as playdoh. It not only is fun for them and stimulates the creative side , but it stimulates there learning ability and function of there fine motor skills.

play-dough not only refines motor skills and increases creativity it can be used for many more things. I use it to teach color blending, sequencing, counting, language skills and the list goes on... it's almost perfect.

Try making five different sized abjects and have your kids order them from smallest to largest

Make a batch of yellow and a batch of blue and let them mix the two colors together.

I love playdough!

The number one reason is that it helps strengthen there hands. By gaining strength in the hands it helps them gain better control and motor skills. This makes it easier for things like learning to write. Also creativity is always a good thing.

It developes use of their motor skills, and imagination. It helps them express their anger, or love.

Phycologists, and psychiatrists use play dough, dolls, etc.. to learn about the children they are treating.
