Now, I found this really good deal online selling his teacup Yorkshire Terrier online for $300. Then shipping is a extra $100.The only problem is he is in New Jersey and I am in Connecticut. They have to get rid of the pup because they are moving into a apartment. My family is a very loving family & I am very interested in purchasing this pup. I have seen pictures of the pup Anita and I think she is the cutest creature to walk this planet! But, buying her is a problem. It's not the money part it's the hassle.
I mean I have to purchase it online to Western Union, I'm not even apart of that. I have a differant company!
And writing it all out in the supermarket (where the paper work is)
& then e-mailing the code to him
And then having to drive to a crowded airport to pick her up.
Do you guys think its really worth it?
Any advice or tips?

This is a bad idea and not worth it.

First, it sounds like a scam.

Second, anyone selling you a "teacup" yorkie is selling you a dog bred to be un healthy and too small.

Go here to the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America page:

Seriously, if the guy actually does send you a pup (which he may not do at all) you might be sending you a dog with serious health problems and THAT is why he is selling the dog.

Why not look for a rescue group?

Here's one that includes CT.

First off there really is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. This is just a term given to undersized puppies/dogs either delibrately bred that size by irresponsible breeders who don't breed to standard or to runts in a litter. It is a sales tactic.

I would be very leary of the terms offered in the add.

Also be advised that puppies delibrately bred undersized often have serious health issues and short life spans.

In that there's no such thing as a "teacup" yorkie or any other breed, no, it's not worth it.

So-called "teacups" are just under-sized dogs bred from pet quality dogs which should never be used as breeding stock, by back yard breeders looking to make a quick buck off the gullible!

if you want a yorkie, get a real yorkie from a reputable breeder!

Who could even opt to pay for a sickly badly bred runt little domestic dog from some terrible BYB or domestic dog mill? I effective would not. Please only purchase a common sized yorkie from a accountable breeder or preserve. a minimum of you wont get extreme vet charges.

No, there is likely something closer where you can meet the people, and the dog first. According to most sites that list ' dog scams ' Western Union is a big one for the scammers to force people to use. I guess there isn't any way maybe to track them? I would be very wary of the whole thing. $100 for shipping? What about the cost of the crate? Doesn't sound right to me.
