I've tried a few different ones. To be honest I found them more of a distraction than a help. I figure that I should just learn to play without tools.

That said if you play a lot of tournaments there are some good sites you can use to look up players during the breaks. I like to do this to decide if I am up against a fish or a shark.

The link is to my favorite site that does this. You can look up most players on this, just type in their handle.

Poker should be played for fun not for profit contrary to what the "experts" tell you. Unlike blackjack where its everyone VS the house, in poker there is only room for ONE winner.

Go for Poker tracker, many players are happy with it. A lot of online pros players use it.
Personally, I don't use it. I keep note of my sessions, that's it.

Take care

Pokerstove is available free at http://www.pokerstove.com/ and is awesome. You can put in your hand against a range of hands you think your opponent may have, and it will tell you your odds of winning the hand.

Pokertracker is excellent for tracking your hands, and tracking how your opponent plays, but does not tell you what to do when it is your turn to act
