I am hosting a party at a restaurant with a set menu. The guests will be responsible for their alcohol and it they want something other than what is served. How do I state this on the invitations?? Thanks

If the dinner were at your home, it would go without saying that the guests take what's served (or say "no thank you"). The same principle should apply here.

So, instead of dealing with this in the invitation, print special menus with the available choices and place them on the table.

list the food on the invitations in menu form including the drinks, as if they were reading from a restaurant menu. this way there will be no misunderstanding. you won't be embarrassed and neither will your guests. you also won't have to pick up someones bar tab. at the bottom of the "menu" you can also state that alcoholic drinks may be purchased at the bar. it should be obvious then.

Ps: Additional order of drinks paid by guests themselves.

clearly state on the invitation that it is BYOB. "champagne and/or spritzers will be served with dinner"
